It is thought that “Critical Thought, Subject and Democracy in Latin America” shows a radical problem of our latin american socio-cultural configuration. A rgumentatives lines of two paradigmatic expressions of critical thought in Latin America form the 80’s to today are exposed, introducing its critical-emancipatory workings of the subject question related to modernity, posmodernity and globalization. It is considered that the construction of the democracy in Latin America, in which the tensions among structures, institutions and subjects finds, in this last reference, the canon of the discernment of the construction of an order substantially democratic.
