COMENSANA SANTALICES, Gloria. Reconciliation with Gaia in a World Dominated by Technological Reasoning. Utopìa y Praxis Latinoamericana [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.51, pp.127-140. ISSN 1315-5216.

Even when the building of a hman world implies violence, we have reduced depredation to nature and risks to industrialization and mass consumption which threaten to completely destroy our biotic support. The need to reconciliate ourselves with Gaia is imperative., and to do so we must construct an ecological ethic based on the recognition of our responsibility as beings in which the totality of the cosmos is conscious of itself and we must assume the obligation to administer to the reality that surrounds us. Environmental education is fundamental herein. The philosopher, Hannah Arendt and an eco-feminist theologist, Rosemary Radford Ruether, will be our guides.

Palavras-chave : Gaia; ecological ethics; environment’s education; reconciliation; Arendt; Radford Ruether.
