Form and Preparation of Manuscripts

Researchers are required to comply with the established publication guidelines when submitting their manuscripts. Non-compliance with these guidelines will prevent the research from being considered by the editorial committee. It is highlighted that the evaluation process may be shorter or longer, depending on the availability of referees, as well as other factors that may influence the process. RVG emphasizes that the submission of a manuscript does not obligate the editorial committee or its editor to guarantee or perform the publication of the document. The RVG committee has the responsibility to reject studies whose theoretical and conceptual content, adequacy and familiarity with the literature, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, discussion of results, validity, and relevance are insufficient and scarce. The editorial committee has the responsibility to select those studies that have a demonstrated, justified, and sustained potential, noting that the respective peer review process is stipulated thereafter. Research rejected during the editorial review cannot be submitted again. Authors wishing to do so must submit a manuscript different from the one discarded. Publication Guidelines (PDF version) Note: Received research that does not conform to the guidelines for authors described herein will not be considered for publication in RVG. 1. The submission of articles and contributions remains open throughout the year. Works must be sent to the journal's emails: rvgluzfces@gmail.com with a copy to rvgluz@fces.luz.edu.ve, in Word format, with a communication signed by all authors indicating that the research is original, unpublished, and not currently under review by other journals. The Revista Venezolana de Gerencia is a quarterly publication, publishing four issues a year in the months of March, June, September, and December. This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that offering free public access to research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, allowing downloading, reading, and printing under the parameters of the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. 2. RVG will only consider original and unpublished works that are not under review by other journals. Non-compliance with this rule will be penalized with the indefinite suspension of the authors from RVG. Submissions that consist of proposals to change reality without being supported by research accounting for the reality for which the changes are proposed will not be accepted. 3. Authors may only submit and publish their contributions once in the editorial year. After the publication of a work is finalized, they must wait one year to start a new evaluation process for any of the ordinary editions of the Journal. That is, researchers must wait one year or a full volume to publish again. It is highlighted that any identified researcher who violates this precept will be penalized by the ethics committee. Note: "Except for exceptions, depending on the topic and its importance, the publication of an article by the same author in the same year may be considered in a special edition whose periodicity differs from that of the ordinary edition." 4. As part of the initial review process, papers will be subjected to a plagiarism detection process using specialized software. Subsequently, they will be evaluated by specialists under a double-blind system, considering these guidelines, as well as the aspects and criteria outlined in the instructions for referees (see instructions). The Editorial Committee reserves the right to make these guidelines and instructions more flexible for essays, given their characteristics. As part of the initial review process, papers will be subjected to a plagiarism detection process through Turnitin's specialized iThenticate system https://www.turnitin.com/es/productos/ithenticate. Subsequently, they will be evaluated by specialists under the DOUBLE-BLIND system (3 external reviewers under complete anonymity), considering these regulations, as well as the aspects and criteria outlined in the instructions for referees. Once the results are obtained, they will be sent to the author via the contact email. The Revista Venezolana de Gerencia aligns its anti-plagiarism principles with the regulations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, https://publicationethics.org). Research evaluation periods are stipulated between 30 and 60 business days from the moment of entry into the journal. Once the research is received, a first contact is made with the researcher certifying the receipt of the research, followed by the verification process of compliance with the stipulated guidelines and ethical policies. Subsequently, it will be forwarded to the double-blind evaluation process (external reviewers, national and international researchers independent of the editorial team and the institution). Once the verdict is received, the author will be notified of the results obtained. These periods will be published on the main page as receipt and approval dates. Note: Due to the high number of submitted research articles, combined with those currently in process, the evaluation period may be longer or shorter depending on the availability of referees and internal editorial processes. 5. The publication rights of the authors are maintained, respecting their ownership as the intellectual author of the work submitted for publication in RVG. 6. The Revista Venezolana de Gerencia (RVG) DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES for the evaluation, publication, processing, or submission of articles for its ordinary editions. However, given the financial situation of our Institution, two special editions per year are planned (January-June / July-December), subject to the respective quality filter (editorial review, plagiarism identification system, research relevance, and double-blind peer review process); these editorial processes are managed by the authors. Accordingly, with the purpose of sustaining the editorial and management processes, we are open and receptive to voluntary donations and contributions from networks, institutions, and authors. 7. Authors who publish their work in RVG retain their copyright without restrictions. Likewise, the journal allows the author(s) to retain publishing rights. The content of this journal is the sole responsibility of the authors. 8. The following are considered for publication: articles on final or partial research results, and essays written by authors of recognized track record. For the "Gerencia al día" (Management Update) section, the following short-length works are accepted: 1) Rapid communication, to announce intellectual property rights; 2) Technical notes describing technical managerial processes; 3) Letters to the editor with opinions on new topics or current problems in the managerial field; 4) News offering updated information on scientific events, research projects, and postgraduate programs in managerial or related topics; 5) Bibliography on managerial topics, and 6) Reviews containing analysis or comments on recent scientific literature. 9. Research intended for evaluation and possible publication in the journal as a "systematic literature review" must consider a minimum of 60 bibliographical references, preferably coming from Scopus or WoS information sources. Failure to comply with this guideline will result in it not being considered for evaluation by the journal. Structural Characteristics of Research Works 10. The length of the articles will be a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 25, Arial 12 font, 1 column, margins: 2.5 on each side, double-spaced on letter-size paper, with consecutive numbering of all pages, including the cover page, tables, charts, graphs, and bibliographical references. 11. Studies addressing specific realities whose scope and impact are reduced, thereby limiting the generalization of findings to other contexts or realities, will not be accepted. 12. The cover page of the articles must contain: 13. The body of the article must be divided into the following sections: 14. Citations and bibliographical references: Research must be cited according to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition standards. References will be located at the end of the text, in alphabetical order, and only those authors cited in the research will be referenced. Note: For more information on citation and referencing under the APA style, it is recommended to consult the websites: www.apastyle.apa.org / https://normasapa.in/ 15. Tables (numbers), charts (words), and graphs (diagrams, illustrations, figures, flowcharts) must be prepared in grayscale and inserted immediately after being referred to, numbered in order of appearance, with a title that reflects their content, avoiding unnecessary ones. Likewise, they must be submitted in editable format to guarantee quality and visibility in the research. They must not have lines separating the columns, applied equations must be included, and the information source must be mentioned at the footnote. 16. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to make formatting modifications as it deems necessary. 17. Appendixes/annexes to articles are not accepted. 18. If acronyms or other abbreviations are used, they must be in uppercase, and the first time they are mentioned, the full name must be written followed by the acronym or abbreviation in parentheses. Examples: Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV), Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). |
